Happy middle of October!
It’s an understatement to say that things in the world have been overwhelming lately. To bring some lightness to my days I’ve been gravitating towards old 90s movies and a lot of music on Spotify.
In addition to that, here are some random things that have been bringing me joy:
ulyandernesto - instagram account
I literally devoured this entire instagram account in one night. This particular paid partnership ad he made for Clorox cracked me up. I generally realllllllly dislike ads on instagram, but honestly if they were all as clever and adorable as this I’d love them.
I hope to meet him one day. Even more, I’d love to take his portraits. He just radiates love and joy. His music cuts deep in emotion and creativity. He’s won a plethora of Grammys and I just keep coming back to this song in particular because it always puts a smile on my face and makes me want to dance.
Swifties
While I absolutely admire Taylor Swift and like a lot of her music, I’m not personally a Swiftie. That said, seeing how much joy she brings people, brings me joy. I love the wholesomeness of it all… the friendship bracelets… the loving vibes. My dear friend Deb shared this video today and I applaud its message for sure!
Books
Yes, just books. All sorts of books. I’m a big fan of my kindle and SO grateful that I am still a member of the Los Angeles Public Library and have access to a plethora of books through the Libby app. Not only are books a wonderful escape, but I’ve read so many articles about how books help us open our hearts and cultivate empathy. I definitely agree. Here’s my Bookshop.org link w/ a ton of my faves.
Admittedly there aren’t a ton of “feel good” books on my book list page, but they are all completely fantastic.

Los Angeles photo shoot openings - November 2023
I’ll be down in LA again in a couple of weeks for a photoshoot business trip. I’m almost fully booked, but I have 2 spots now open on the morning of Sunday, November 5th and the morning of Monday, November 6th.

Me? Well, I'm finally properly married, I've got projects coming out of my ears (podcasts, ttrpg game, book, etc). The furballs are lovely and chaotic and we love em to bits.
